History's great revivals and the men God used
From the beginning of human history, there is a pattern of turning away from God. There have been many times throughout history, though, when Christians have realized the sin and moral weakness in their community, nation, and even among themselves, and they have humbled themselves, sought God's forgiveness, and pleaded with Him to revive them again-to restore to them the power and love and holiness that God desires.

People are converted, sin is rejected, crime is reduced, profanity decreases, and the love of the world is diminished. The things of this life do not seem as important as they used to, and the things of eternity matter.
