We Have Been Missional states for missiology what James Evans declared for theology more broadly. Namely, African Americans are not recently missiological. Missiological reflection is, in fact, central to the ongoing life of the Black Church in the United States. In light of the concerning absence of specifically African American contributions to missiology, Radcliff offers a Black missiology that both foregrounds the life of the Black Church and opens a vitally important door for missiology and ecclesiology in the United States.
