A progressive declaration. Countering four dangerous trends.
The central theme of the Wesleyan way engages four formative practices: humility, hospitality, healing, and holiness. On the opposite end of the scale are four fear-based dangers growing within contemporary church and society: Christian fundamentalism, Nationalism, Dispensationalism and Antinomianism. Active Faith discusses the relationship between these practices, examines contemporary forms of Christianity that distort or compromise our received faith tradition, and offers guidance on how we can engage Wesleyan practices in our day-to-day lives, resisting these dangerous movements with truth, joy, peace, and love.
