The
first section of the book is a
word study:
to examine the lexical definitions of the terms that Jesus used in the Lord's Prayer; to search for synonyms to expand the understanding of the words; to explore the words' denotations and connotations.
The second section goes into the
history of the prayer's linguistic development. The Lord's Prayer
changed: from one Gospel writer to another; from one language to another; from one century to another, as the English language changed.
