You are holding a love story about eleven Bible Seniors - six in the Old Testament and five in the New Testament. They are ordinary men and women in their times, until two of the seniors, Abraham, and Moses, were chosen by the Lord God to do super important works for the salvation of humankind. Others like Elijah, Elizabeth, Hannah, Simeon, and Zechariah were living with unfulfilled hopes and dreams. All of them, including Anna, Naomi, Nicodemus, and Sarah, were coping with the events of their elder years when God invited them into a relationship, and their lives changed unexpectedly in beautiful ways.
Today's seniors can learn from focusing our reading lenses on Bible characters the way God saw them so we can see better how God views us. Our third life epoch is very important. Hopefully, we will gain clarity in order to ascertain God's will, find support in facing life's problems and uncertainties, begin to see God all around, remember, and experience Christ Jesus' extravagant love for us. God is with us; God gives us courage and strength to share Jesus' love with the people God places on our journey in life. With our best friend Jesus, we pray with assurance, "May your kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as in heaven."
