"The Lord will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail." (Isaiah 58:11, NIV) Jesus is the seed of everything good that God desires for us to have. God plants the seed, but it must be cultivated, nurtured, watered and cared for. The ground in which it is planted must be kept plowed up and weed free. Our hearts and lives are the ground. Everything that needs to be changed or removed is not taken care of all at once. There is a great work to be done, and only the Holy Spirit knows the proper "when and how." As He deals with us about certain issues, we are to submit to Him our wills. Which means submitting the flesh to the leadership of the Spirit. It is not all easy, but it is definitely worth it. Going through change is hard, but staying in bondage is even more difficult.
