Keep accurate records.
An important part of ensuring that we make the best use of faith formation settings is to maintain good records to let us know how we are doing. The newly revised General Record Book for the Church School & Small Group Ministries helps you collect and summarize weekly church school and small-group participation. These records help you prepare quarterly and annual reports including the Local Church Report to the Annual Conference. The other tools in the system (Record Book for Class or Group, Individual Record Card, and Report & Offering Envelope) can work with the General Record book to help you gather and use accurate, complete information from all your classes and settings.
Online extras available with purchase of the print resource include templates that calculate summary totals for each record sheet. Use the paper record to compile information from all your settings (or have each leader enter the data in the master book), then enter the data on the templates to maintain history and to produce clean printouts of the reports.
