Spikenard is a deeply fragrant and precious oil that holds significant biblical meaning. In John 12:3, Mary of Bethany used this oil to anoint the head and feet of Jesus just two days before His crucifixion. Her act of devotion, pouring out the entire bottle of spikenard, symbolizes worship, sacrifice, and complete abandonment to the Lord. This beautiful gesture illustrates a heart surrendered fully to Christ, a powerful reminder of the depth of love and reverence that we, too, are called to offer in our relationship with Him. Anointing oils are mentioned frequently throughout the Bible, particularly in the book of Exodus. The act of anointing signifies consecration, healing, and the setting apart of individuals or objects for divine purposes. Key verses such as Exodus 30:22-31, Mark 6:13, Mark 14:3, and James 5:14-15 highlight the importance of anointing for spiritual and physical well-being. Our Spikenard Anointing Oil is hand-crafted by blending this rich, aromatic fragrance with pure olive oil, producing a quality scent that can be used in various sacred moments. The oil is bottled in a 1 oz. glass container, designed with a secure screw-on lid to prevent leaks or spills during shipping and use. This Spikenard Anointing Oil is ideal for use during prayer, church services, ceremonies, or in the home. Whether used for personal reflection or as part of a collective act of worship, it invites you to surrender fully in adoration, just as Mary did, honoring the Lord with reverence and love.
