Knowing Jesus through His Miracles allows the reader to experience Jesus' miracles within the context of His time and culture and their relevance for us today. Although it would be impossible to describe all the miracles of Jesus in many volumes, this book deals with thirty-eight specific occasions of His miracle-working power. Jesus' miracles are described in four categories: physical healing, spiritual warfare, natural phenomena, and resurrection of the dead, with special attention to Jesus' resurrection. Jesus was given all power and authority by the Father above so that all disease, the forces of evil, nature, and even death were subject to Him. Jesus was fully God and fully man. Being fully man, Jesus experienced human emotions, frustration, anger, and impatience. In all His humanity, He never sinned. He was the sinless sacrifice for the sin of mankind. On the cross, He experienced pain and suffering not for His own sin, but for ours. Knowing Jesus as God, we see His compassion, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. We understand God as a loving Father who desires a relationship with humanity and gave His most precious gift to restore this relationship that was broken in Eden. This book is an excellent resource for Adult Bible Studies, and High School or college-level texts.
