Winning battles isn't the same as winning the war. The path winding up the mountain is often slow, arduous, and foreign. But those determined to complete the journey soon discover the benefits of knowing the terrain in advance and staying on the path that the Lord has set before us. Indeed, unless we know how success is measured in the eyes of God, our perception can mislead us into thinking that we have failed in ministry. The question we should ask is, "Have I been obedient to His calling and am I sharing my story?" Fulfilling the mission and purpose God has designed us for is a lifelong endeavor.
