Explore the gift of creation and God's great love for each of us by discovering how to meditatively walk in nature, how to "waste time" with God in the natural world, and how to commune more intimately with God in His Great Outdoors. "For from the greatness and beauty of created things comes a corresponding perception of their Creator" (Wisdom 13:5). Learn to apply the lessons from God's two great books-the Book of Nature and the Book of Holy Scripture-to your own prayer life using the rhythm of the seasons, Scripture, silence, prayers of praise, and a sense of wonder. Full of simple nature poems, short Scripture quotations, nature enrichment activities, additional reading suggestions, and Catholic teaching, this book will increase awareness of God's loving presence in the natural world, enhance your prayer life, and assist in our mandate to pray and give glory to God always.
