"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and pleading with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7
Thirteen-year-old, Melanie Cooper returns home from a life-changing week at camp where she's discovered faith in Jesus. When she starts 8th grade at her new school, Melanie's newfound beliefs are stretched as she encounters bullies, shares a room with her older sister, worries about the family finances, and feels guilty for her desire to swim again. As Melanie deepens her relationship with God, she chooses to trust Him through her adversities and prays for her enemies (even though she really doesn't want to) since they're the ones making her life miserable.
Can Melanie continue to do the right thing as her troubles escalate? And will the answer to her prayers of an unexpected friendship and allies help her situation? Can she survive all the drama of middle school?
