This Sojourner Leader's Guide is a comprehensive guide through the fifty-two-lesson Sojourner Bible Study that begins in Genesis-the beginning-and finishes in Revelation. Each lesson covers essential biblical truths and connects them to our Savior, Jesus, the Christ. In this Leader's Guide, each student lesson is presented along with essential truths and learning points for the leader to convey. The lessons are designed to be covered weekly so that the entire study can be completed in one year. Although several teaching points are highlighted for each lesson, we encourage each leader to seek and heed the Holy Spirit's guidance as they prepare and present each lesson. As a new believer, he read the Bible because he thought that would make him a better Christian-but he did not know how to study the Bible. Over the next thirty years, the Lord brought great teachers into his life who encouraged him to go deeper in his study. Through their encouragement and the work of the Holy Spirit, he began a journey of a lifetime in Bible study. A retired air traffic controller, Richard has been teaching the Bible since 1999-and he is still learning. When he began serving short term in international missions, he started thinking of himself as a Sojourner. He is currently serving as a disaster relief chaplain through the Southern Baptist Convention. Richard and his wife, Amy, have three children and four grandchildren. Their prayer is that everyone in their family-and yours-will grow in their faith walk daily. May the Holy Spirit of the Living God create in each of us the desire to know Him more.
