Father Rotelle began collecting writings that he found particularly enlightening in 1982. Although he had no special purpose m mind, he decided to focus on works that had something to do with the Sunday gospel readings. In time, his hobby started to develop into a serious collection of writings. Some fourteen years later, what we now have is a superb anthology of modern Christian writers. As his collection developed, Father Rotelle realized that it could offer valuable contributions to the understanding of Christian tradition. "I wanted to emphasize the importance of the modern era; that tradition is ongoing and does not stop with just the Fathers of the Church". His carefully chosen selections convey that richness, drawing from a wide variety of Christian men and women writers.
This third in a three volume set will lead the reader thoughtfully through the Sunday liturgical readings of Year C. It will prove to be a perfect resource for homilies or sermons as well as any other Sunday or special celebration. Meditations on the Sunday Gospels can also be simply used for reflection on the gospel, a reflection done with noted experts.
