This wonderful edition by the late Dr. Seuss, Ted Geisel, is a creative way to talk with children about their feelings. In his light hearted, rhyming style, Seuss pairs a color with a mood and action. The book does have a different art style than other Dr. Seuss classics. When he wrote the text in 1973, he specified that the manuscript should be illustrated by "a great color artist who will not be dominated by me." The illustrators, Johnson and Fancher, have presented bold, broad stroke images with lots of movement and bright contrast. The board book edition is an excellent way to introduce the very youngest to Dr. Seuss.
"Helps small children realize that they have moods, too, and all of them are human and acceptable." Los Angeles Times Book Review
"Bright fun for the youngest from an all-time favorite author and his creative interpreters." San Francisco Chronicle
