Happy New Year—a little early. Have you made any resolutions for 2013? If you haven’t, don’t worry. LinC talks about why, instead of making resolutions, we should open ourselves to the transforming power of God. How do we give ourselves over to God, and how do we know that God is working through us? Key Scriptures: Jeremiah 18:1-6; Matthew 5:3-12; Galatians 5:22-25. Next week will be the first Sunday of 2013. But before we get too far into the new year, we’re going to take some time to look back on the old one. Specifically, we’ll consider our legacy. If 2012 could speak, what would it say about us? Where did God move in big ways through us? How did we experience joy, despair, hope? Like Joshua set stones on the side of the Jordan River, we’ll set some stones in our hearts as a memorial of all that God has done in 2012.
