Until recently few people knew the name Kyle Brotzman. Brotzman is the talented, reliable placekicker for the celebrated Boise State Broncos football team. Boise's BCS title hopes came to an end when Brotzman missed two clutch kicks and the Broncos lost to Nevada. Now Brotzman's great college football career is overshadowed by two unfortunately timed imperfections. As humans we have little patience for imperfection. The WikiLeaks scandal has been arguably the biggest news story of the past month. Defenders of the WikiLeaks website, which publishes classified documents that have been leaked by anonymous sources, claim that the site operates in the interest of free speech and transparency. Critics worry that, by revealing sensitive government and military secrets, WikiLeaks is damaging relationships between nations and putting people's lives at risk. This scandal is a reminder that truth can be powerful and dangerous.
