This is the time of year when many of us spend our Sundays, Saturdays, and holidays watching America’s most popular sport. God instructs God’s people to make time for rest and to honor the sabbath day. But how should we do this? By watching football? By going out to eat with the family? By hitting the mall? LinC looks at what it means to observe the sabbath and why it’s important. Key Scriptures: Genesis 2:1-3; Exodus 16:1-26; 20:1-17; Luke 13:10-17. Jesus actually instructs us to have faith like children. LinC reminds us that, no matter how old we get, we will always be God’s children and that we can hold onto a childlike sense of wonder and innocence well into our teenage and adult years.
