After nearly two years of intense campaigning, the election is over. Regardless of how we feel about the candidates who emerged victorious, we have a responsibility to put our political differences behind us and work together toward the common purpose of improving our nation and world. This week LinC looks at how Christians in particular should work together toward the vision of God's kingdom that we read about in Scripture. Key Scriptures: Acts 4:23-37; 15:1-21; 1 Corinthians 12:12-27. With Thanksgiving coming up, many people are looking forward to a day, or even a season, of feasting. But before you gorge yourself on stuffing and mashed potatoes, we're going to ask you to spend some time fasting (or at least talking about fasting). Fasting as a spiritual discipline is older than the church itself. Next week LinC looks at the purposes of fasting and how fasting is one way that we can give thanks for all that God has given us.
