In the November 13 issue, LinC takes a look at Veteran’s Day, which was formerly “Armistice Day”—a day set aside to recognize the end or World War I. Armistice Day celebrated an event where war gave way to peace. We will explore what it means for Christians to be “peacemakers” and how peace is not simply the absence of war.
Key Scriptures: Isaiah 11:1-9; Micah 4:1-4; Matthew 5:1-12; Philippians 2:1-15. In the November 21 issue, LinC reminds us that, in many of America’s schools, the coming weeks will bring progress reports, report cards, and/or parent-teacher conferences. Teachers, parents, and students alike are concerned with whether students are progressing academically. As Christians, we need to regularly evaluate whether we are progressing spiritually.
