Earlier this month open-wheel racing lost one of its great champions when reigning Indianapolis 500 winner Dan Wheldon died in a 15-car crash at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Wheldon’s family, crew, and fellow drivers, along with thousands of fans, continue to mourn his passing. Grief is real and it is something that we all experience. Jesus himself knew the pain of grief. November 6 is All Saints’ Sunday, the day of the Christian calendar when we remember those who have died in the past year. The “Occupy” protests that began in New York City have spread throughout the nation and around the world. The Occupy movement hopes to draw attention to income inequality and the role that Wall Street played in the recent global financial crisis by people speaking out for their convictions.
