Ana's Story: A Journey of Hope, the first book by the President's daughter Jenna Bush, tells of Jenna's experience as a UNICEF volunteer. During her travels, Bush learned important lessons about compassion that she seeks to pass on to other young people. As Christians, we are called to be compassionate, to be Christ's hands and feet on earth, and to show our love for Jesus by reaching out to others. Key Scriptures: Ruth 2:5-13; Isaiah 11:1-10; Matthew 25:31-40; Luke 10:25-37; Acts 1:8; Galatians 6:2. Halloween is a little more than a week away. Many people will spend the spookiest day of the year in masks and costumes, assuming a new identity. Next week we’ll look at how we can be true to who we are as children of God and disciples of Christ and how we can live more authentic Christian lives.
