Have you ever prayed and prayed for something yet it didn’t happen? Hearing “no” isn’t pleasant but it’s often necessary. This week LinC explores how hearing “no” from God is not necessarily a bad thing. In the authority of God’s “no,” God’s grace flows and we are able to experience the new life God gives. Key Scriptures: Genesis 3:20-24; Exodus 20:1-17; Mark 14:32-36. Arguing the existence of God and the validity of the Christian faith using logic can clear a room of teenagers in a hurry. Next week’s LinC will take students beyond the limits faced when God is reduced to an intellectual exercise by exploring how the mysteries of God draw us to faith and how to share those mysteries as part of our witness.
