Pain and grief touch all of us at some time in our lives, but not all of us handle it well. This week’s LinC takes a more serious turn to tackle the truth about grief, its role in our lives, and how to deal with grief in healthy ways. Encourage your students to see God for themselves in the way Israel saw God—as Rapha, their Healer. Have you ever prayed and prayed for something yet it didn’t happen? Hearing “no” isn’t pleasant but is often necessary. Next week your students will explore how hearing “no” from God is not necessarily a bad thing. In the authority of God’s “no,” God’s grace flows and we are able to experience the new life God gives.
