President Obama's speech in Cairo earlier this month, as well as the recent controversial election in Iran, have drawn attention to the United States’ relationship with the Muslim world. These events also have many American Christians thinking about Christian-Muslim relations. This week LinC looks at ways that we can grow in our understanding of Islam and our relationships with Muslims while more fully embracing Christ and our Christian faith. Recently Jon and Kate Gosselin—parents of twins and sextuplets and stars of TLC’s wildly popular Jon & Kate Plus 8—announced that they will be filing for divorce. But the show will go on, giving viewers a look at how a celebrity family copes with separation. Most of us don’t have to worry about our families’ issues being broadcast on national television; but we can nonetheless relate to some of the blessings and challenges we see on family-based reality shows. Next week we’ll look at our family relationships and how we can love our families in a way that honors Christ.
