Hundreds of thousands of people joined Facebook and Twitter campaigns in hopes of seeing 88-year-old comedienne Betty White host and tween pop star Justin Bieber perform on Saturday Night Live. Their efforts were successful. Getting a celebrity to appear on a late-night comedy show hardly qualifies as changing the world, but these recent social-networking efforts illustrate what is possible when people raise their voices and rally around a cause. This week we'll look at how we can lift our voices as agents of godly change. Key Scriptures: Matthew 21:28-32; Acts 19:23-32; Philemon If you keep up with the news, whether by watching cable news channels or reading online newspapers and blogs, you probably come across a lot of bad news. Bad news and controversy tend to attract viewers and visitors and drive up ad revenue. And while we need to be aware of all the bad news in the world, we are called to be people of good news. Holy Week is a time to reflect on some very bad news while anticipating the good news that awaits us on Easter Morning. Next week we'll look at ways we can be ambassadors of this good news.
