Ask folks what they want most out of life and it’s a good bet they’ll say “to be happy.” Happiness is great, but it ebbs and flows. However, what the Bible calls “joy” is constant. Unlike happiness, joy will sometimes surprise us by showing up in unlikely and tough circumstances. This week LinC dives into the concept of joy and ways to experience joy, regardless of the situations we face in life. Key Scriptures: Luke 19:1-9; Luke 15:11-32; Philippians 4:4-13. During March people around the country will observe Women’s History Month. It wasn’t long ago that women as a group weren’t considered part of the “in crowd.” If you’re not in, then it feels like you’re out—outcast and unnoticed. For this to change, it took people who cared to notice, reach out, and make a difference. Next week LinC helps teens consider what it means for them to live obediently, following Jesus’ example and teachings by reaching out to the unnoticed.
