In the February 20th issue, LinC takes a look at the phenomenon of weblogs, better known as “blogs,” which has given Internet users a new form of entertainment and source for news and information. Blogging allows ordinary people to express themselves while potentially attracting a global audience. But regardless of whether we keep a blog, we all post messages for others to read—through our words, actions, and choices. As Christians, we have a responsibility to tell our “readers” about our love for Christ. Key Scriptures are: Daniel 5:5-23; John 8:3-11; Acts 5:17-21; and 1 John 1:1-4. In the February 27th issue, LinC explores the desire for recognition and takes a look at the Academy Awards®. Millions will watch to see if their favorite films win any Oscars® and whether accomplished veteran actors and filmmakers are finally recognized for their work. Our culture loves awards and recognition, but we are called to do God's work regardless of whether our efforts are honored or even noticed.
