Presidents’ Day is a week from Monday. Some high-profile politicians will will spend the holiday working on their 2008 presidential campaigns. Each candidate hopes to present a certain identity to voters that he or she hopes will win votes in next year’s election. Like these presidential hopefuls, we Christians need to think about our identities and how we present ourselves. How can we claim our identity as God’s children? This film tells the story of William Wilberforce, who led the movement to end slavery in the British Empire. (His spiritual guide, John Newton, wrote the lyrics to “Amazing Grace.”) Where do you see injustice in the world today? How can you take a stand for justice?
