Now that the Super Bowl is over, hopefully the “deflategate” controversy will be put to rest. Some have scoffed at what seems like petty jealousy, while others see it—and past New England Patriot actions—as a lack of integrity. The desire to win often tempts us to believe the end justifies any means necessary, including dishonesty. LinC examines God’s desire for us to live our lives with integrity. Key Scriptures: Matthew 7:13-14; Ephesians 4:11-16; Luke 10:25-37. Ask folks what they want most out of life and it’s a good bet they’ll say “to be happy.” Happiness is great, but it ebbs and flows. However, what the Bible calls “joy” is constant. Unlike happiness, joy will sometimes surprise us by showing up in unlikely and tough circumstances.
