Got grit? True Grit, a remake of the classic 1969 John Wayne film based on a novel of the same name, has been a hit at the box office and with critics. Jeff Bridges, who stars as U.S. Marshall Reuben, or “Rooster” Cogburn, is known as “a man with true grit” and is hired to hunt down a killer on the run. Grit, meaning single-minded, stubborn determination, can be good or bad, depending on how we use it. LinC looks at biblical examples of grit and dicusses how we can be gritty in our devotion to God.
