In the January 16 issue, LinC calls to our attention the recent tsunami in Southeast Asia that has killed over 150,000 people and may be the deadliest disaster any of us see in our lifetimes. In the January 23 issue, LinC reminds us that many North American hockey fans are frustrated and angry over the NHL players and owners’ failure to come to terms on a new Collective Bargaining Agreement that has resulted in the entire season being canceled. Though we may not sympathize with millionaires bickering about contracts, Christians too must discern when we can compromise and which of our convictions must never be compromised.
