In the January 8 issue, LinC takes a look at the NFL playoffs, in which twelve teams will set out on a quest for the Lomabardi trophy and football immortality. Very few players make it to the NFL, and even fewer win a Super Bowl ring. Fortunately, for Christians, our odds of achieving immortality are much better, thanks to God’s gift of grace through Jesus Christ. In the January 15 issue, LinC takes a look at the “Choking Game.” Several American youth have discovered a drug-free way to get high. But the “Choking Game” (depriving the brain of oxygen to experience a brief state of euphoria) is as dangerous as any illegal drug. Christians know that we are created by God and that our bodies are God’s temples. Thus we must shun practices that harm or dishonor our bodies.
