I remember the day my reason for living changed.
It was the day it rained flowers.
I was one of thousands. I was worshipping, singing side by side, skin by skin with spiritual sisters. Then my feet weren't on the ground. I didn't seem to have a body. Yet I was deep in my body far away. My eyes were shut but I could see an iridescent white mist. The perfect stillness was broken by a falling pink flower.
Then another pink flower fell, then a yellow flower floated down. Then another and another until an avalanche of yellow and pink flowers were raining around me. From the white mist, Jesus emerged riding a white horse. He spoke to me with his eyes: "I am beautiful; delight in this beauty." All the while glistening yellow and pink flowers rained from the white sky of eternity.
Since the day it rained flowers, I see the beauty of Jesus all around me; in flowers, candles, stars, perfume, and silk. These feminine delights are not frivolous, but lead us to deep truths and transformation. From this journey into divine beauty, I have written twenty-eight stand-alone devotions designed to draw you into an intense, lavish intimacy with your heavenly Father.
