Hudson Taylor wrote many devotional articles in the early years of the China Inland Mission (now OMF) which showed someone who experienced a real, daily adventure in his Christian life. A life which we can readily identify as having the authentic stamp of practice, rather than just theory.
These writings were originally buried in out of print publications, or hidden in an obscure comer of larger works. Marshall Broomhall, Taylor's biographer, brought these helpful passages together and added others culled from unpublished personal letters. He has skillfully edited them into a moving and thoughtful daily devotional that has been constantly in print since it was first written.
