Two themes run through this book of short reflections: firstly, the astonishing constancy of the presence of a loving Creator, if we only take time to be aware of that presence, and, secondly, the absolute dependence of all of us on that Creator and on every other created thing, human and otherwise. As contemporary life becomes busier, it is harder for us to maintain a sense of wonder at the immense beauty of the universe.
