UMI's VBS programs have always honored God and the rich heritage of African-Americans. This year's VBS program continues this tradition by encouraging participants to Glow For Jesus. Let Your Light Shine. The program is based on the the bible verse, "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." (Matthew 5:16 KJV- theme verse). Course motivates students of all ages - preschool to adults - to serve as light in a world of darkness through their action and attitudes, using their gifts, skills and interests to help others
