In 1991 Ray had an open vision while on a temporary assignment during his time in the United States Air Force which would change his life forever. This experience would influence him to pioneer a ministry in a city where no one knew his name. In 1997 he and his wife founded a successful church called Family Life Christian Church International in Lynchburg, Virginia.
