The purpose of this book is to inform in a simple manner why Christians believe Jesus Christ of Nazareth is the only Savior of the world. That is, he is the only person through whom the Bible promises to give eternal life. This book answers questions related to the meaning of his name, his genealogy, his life and ministry, his death, his resurrection, his ascension into heaven, and his promised coming again to be God's future King over all the earth. Every statement made is backed up with quotations from the Bible. This book will not only inform the non-Christian as to whom Christians believe Jesus to be, but will also give information to strengthen the faith of those who already believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. DAN CARFREY is a member of the Bible faculty of Appalachian Bible College, Bradley, West Virginia, and is Chair of the Pastoral Major. He has served on the faculty for the past twenty years. Prior to this, Dr. Carfrey served in the pastorate and planted two churches. Having felt called to preach at the age of eight, he preached his first sermon at the age of twelve, and was ordained as a preacher of the gospel at the age of twenty-one. He has been preaching and teaching for over forty-five years. Dr. Carfrey earned his Doctorate of Ministry at Baptist Bible Seminary in 2005. Dr. Carfrey is listed in the sixth, eighth, ninth, and tenth editions of Krouse's Who's Who Among America's Teachers, as well as the 2008 Cambridge Who's Who of Excellence in Religious Education. He is a popular Bible teacher and preacher.
