When Allan B. Russell finally decided to put pen to paper, there were several directions he could have taken. However, because of his religious convictions, he was moved to concoct fictional stories based on his Christian experience. Resulting from his diligence this awesome work came to fruition. 'Miracles at Christmas' was the first story in the series to be penned. It was written in the back of a minivan from Stone Mountain, Georgia to Bronx, New York. Having found himself in the zone, Allan remained there until twenty-eight stories and six months later, Tomato Soup for the Soul came into existence. Of the twenty-eight stories, twenty-seven of them are published in this book. These narratives are either based on true life situations as experienced by the author himself, or presented in a manner that reflects Bible teachings. Allan B. Russell is a native of Barbados with citizenship in the USA. His love for writing began around eight years old, when he sewed together discarded sheets of paper, and wrote stories in his make-belief book. A graduate of Combermere School in Barbados, Allan immigrated to London England in mid-sixties in search of a dream to be a famous singer. Two months after he landed there, his wife Maureen followed. His career in the music industry came to an end after he toured many countries in Europe, and the Middle East, as lead singer. His marriage to Maureen has way outlasted his career in music, which is currently going on forty-six years. This dapper Granddad is no stranger to stage performances, radio and television broadcasts. From his home audio recording studio, Allan has written and produced several songs, and he is currently working on an MP3 version of Tomato Soup for the Soul; primarily to serve the needs of the visually impaired.
