A print of Rembrandt’s, “Return of the Prodigal Son,” is the catalyst for a conversation that results in a breakthrough in a mother/daughter relationship that has been strained. The daughter’s altered understanding of her mother’s heart influences an important decision. There’s a lot more emotion in the subtext of this piece than in the lines themselves. The actors need to be able to show that, to move from estrangement to an emotional connection. Length: 5 minutes: Cast Size: 2 persons.
