THE MONARCH AND THE MONARCH is intended to provide a poetry platter to entice the reader's tase buds with an assortment of flavours to acquaint the reader audience with a new prolific and interesting author: Autumn Land Born in Brantford, Ontario, Canada in 1944. I lived near to Graham Bell's Homestead where the telephone was invented and a few miles from the home of the poetess Pauline Johnston. I wrote my first poem at 16. I moved to London, Ontario to be a copywriter for Eaton's Advertising, married George S. Land a Dutch immigrant and had 2 children Christopher Ti and Jessica Tiffany. I have a grandson Joshua David Land. I lived in British Columbia and California and have resided in Goderich for 20 years. I have written many hundreds of poems and stories and a couple of scripts which I will now be publishing. This is my second offering, the first many years ago to Poet Lore in Massachusetts entitled 'Letter to Self.' I harbor an extreme love for children and would be delighted to see my books in schools.
