As a former 7th grade Catechist teacher, I found that at times, interest in religious education and be tepid at best. Teenagers are, after all, teenagers. From some of my students, I received the impression that religion is more or less a series of "thee's" and "thou's." It can be laborious, tedious, and sometimes doesn't translate well into today's teenage jargon. So you endure the class and muddle through as best you can. There's a better way. I simply asked my class what about religion most interested them. To my amazement, far too few saw how Catholicism fit into their lives. This book, to a large extent, deals with directly with that topic - How every aspect of out faith touches our lives. (Interspersing a little humor doesn't hurt either.)Hopefully you will find that the messages contained in each chapter will bring together many of the fundamental reasons for being Catholic, and how to build a lifetime of faith beyond one's adolescent years.
