He is married to the former Calvonia Louise Vaught. They are the parents of Mario Jamil, Casondra Leann, and Christian Leah. He has a goddaughter Toya White. He was educated through the Trigg County Schools System in Cadiz, Kentucky.He completed seminary work at Andersonville Theological Seminary in Camilla, Georgia, receiving the bachelor degree of Christian education, a master's degree of divinity in pastoral leadership, and a doctor of ministry degree in pastoral leadership.He accepted Christ and was baptized in 1968 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church of Christian County, Kentucky. He acknowledged the call to preach the Gospel and was ordained as a Baptist minister in 1980 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church under the pastorate of his father Rev. E. D. Radford.He has been pastoring for almost 34 years with the last 24 1/2 years serving First Baptist Church, Nicholasville, Kentucky. He has been very involved in Baptist associational works for the past 35 years and served in many capacities. He is former moderator of Kentucky Missionary Baptist Association.
