This book, PICK UP YOUR MANTLE covers topics such as Divine call of Elisha, persistence in the race, confrontation and challenges; Beware Don't ridicule God's ministers; faithfulness and fruitfulness in ministry; left alone in grief; meaning of mantle; taking initiatives; causes and healing of barrenness; sharing things of the altar with less privileged flocks; dig your ditches; relationships between Kings and Prophets; unfaithfulness of Gehazi and its consequences; whatever goes down must come up; Why was God so evident in the Bible, and seems so hidden today?; Miracle in the grave; Anointing transfer processes etc. and summary of miracles performed by Elijah and Elisha. The world is getting tired of the usual rhetoric from some ministers of God: "While I was praying yesterday for this program the Lord told me"; "While I was fasting and praying on Good Friday, the Holy Spirit told me...." Would God speak to those ministers concerning their mega-ministries only and without a revelation of these vexing issues of terrorist threats and attacks? Would God overlook the security of His children now that we have suicide bombers and regular incidents of kidnapping for ransom in churches, schools etc? It is ironic for a Pastor to inform the church God told him: "there would be abundant blessings during a planed revival meeting," whereas a sad incident of kidnapping a young woman took place in the very presence of God. Where is Prophet Agabus of our generation? As the immediately inspired spokesmen of God, could those God's Generals come up with divine revelation on the location of the safe haven of the most wanted Nigeria's Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau, as Elisha provided intelligence that paved the way to frustrate military efforts against the King of Israel? This is the time to demonstrate the power of God by walking the talk. Already the US Government has offered highest reward of $7 million for anybody that can provide information that can lead to his capture. Let's have a fire drill: let's have a dry-run of His second coming. Let people quiver before God and tremble on the streets and cry for mercy. Let the dry-run hold sinful men in the grip of terrifying judgment. Let the people cry out like the rich man begged Abraham for water from the tip of Lazarus finger. We call for total sanitization of the church of God before His second coming. Rev. Dickson Agu Nwachuku has been a pastor, ministering in conferences and churches for over two decades.
