With high school graduation behind her, Lainey Martin is ready for a summer full of adventure. Becoming a counselor at a summer camp in Southern California seems like a good way to expand her horizons and improve her self-confidence. But the moment she arrives, a cute camp counselor named Caleb Hammond makes a snide remark about the purple streaks in her hair--a terrible way to start things off. After the first week or so, however, Caleb and Lainey mend fences and begin to hang out together. Lainey works as the activity director helping special needs children, and she unexpectedly finds immense joy in it. Could this be the direction God wants her to take for her future career? The thought excites her, and she eagerly shares it with Caleb.
Spending time with Lainey has shown Caleb just how amazing she really is. He always thought he knew exactly what he wanted out of life, but Lainey makes him second guess it all. He does everything he can to build her confidence and encourage her to seek the Lord in her decisions. But when he realizes he's in love with Lainey, he doesn't know what to do. Will he be standing in her way if he tells her, or should he take a leap of faith and hand over his heart?
