African American King We should realize that our existence in America is one that allows us to effect change so our contributions to American society are validated no matter how difficult the challenges are that flow against us. How we view ourselves in this life comes from the experiences and lessons we have learned. From a spiritual perspective, we must understand that we are created in the image of God, and in Him, He has given to us all that we need in this life. When we believe and understanding that in order to defeat these deeply embedded issues we have, we need a power that is greater than ourselves.
