A Friend Thru Terror is a true story of the relationship between Anthony Sackor and the Lord Jesus. It is an astounding story of how Anthony met Jesus in a remote jungle village in Liberia, Africa, and how Jesus guided, directed, and protected Anthony and his family through good times and terribly bad times. It is a story of how Jesus sovereignly guided and directed Anthony's life: spiritual walk, marriage partner, and a miraculous child's birth in America. When all appeared to be going well, evil warlords rampaged into Liberia bringing a reign of terror where life became fragile and death commonplace. The years that followed were hard years-years full of separation, suffering and starvation. They were years of flight-in danger, unwanted and threatened in one country after another. Yet, all the while through all the terror, their one beacon of hope, love and protection was Jesus. Thomas Tutton spent over two years interviewing Anthony and his family. Gradually the story unfolded as closed doors of the past pain, suffering and savagery were opened. Finally, the outpouring of all the brutal facts came: fear, intimidation, starvation, torture, and near-death. Thomas A. Tutton is a retired attorney. He is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, and San Francisco Law School. His son, Dan, led him to the Lord Jesus Christ thirty years ago. He and his wife, Mary Ann, live in Port Angeles, Washington. The nearby magnificent forests and majestic mountains of Olympic National Park are where he finds great joy in hiking and inspiration in the Creator's handiwork.
