The Bible tells us that one day some women brought their children to Jesus for Him to bless. The disciples shunned these little ones thinking they were of little importance. However, Jesus told His disciples to suffer the little children to come unto me and forbid them not, for of such is the kingdom of heaven. In today s society children are still being pushed aside by the world s values. In school they are taught that God does not exist and that this is all there is to life. They are taught that other religions are just as true as Christianity and there are many ways to God. Unsaved parents tell them there is no such place as Heaven and by their own example teach them going to church is not important. Sin has become a social behavior; and sports, pleasure and worship of movie stars and musicians has taken the place of God. As Christian educators, we have an awesome responsibility. God has given us the opportunity to mold the lives of these dear ones through the teaching of His Word. Helping children understand who God is and His plan for their lives will transform them and give them a support for the rest of their life. For of such is the Kingdom of Heaven is a children s membership course that will give them just such a foundation. The lessons will teach them: - How sin entered the world - How Jesus death paid sin s price and gives us life forever - How our New Birth changes us to live like Jesus - How Baptism shows others we belong to God - About the Church and how belonging to it will encourage their faith - How they can serve in the church and use their gifts for God - About the Lord s Supper and its importance to believers - Who the Holy Spirit is and how He works within believers - The importance of the Bible - The importance of prayer"
