Angels We Have Heard is a collection of weekly newspaper columns, The Shepherd's Call, dedicated to observing God's glory in everyday events. Following the teaching example of Jesus, the articles are word pictures drawn from ordinary life. They are simple, poignant and brief. Sometimes the piece emanates from a simple event such as a runaway dirigible or a person who refuses to change his watch to daylight savings time. At other times, the column springs from a current event or concern. Occasionally, there is an imaginary account of a happening among the angels which speaks to a spiritual need or truth. Folk seem to like the angel stories best; hence the title, Angels We Have Heard.
